It has 2 screws that go in the rear of the trunnion, then the side plates as well.

The lower in my pack is the Phoenix designworks super safety lower. Designed for SS and used for the TURD frt as well.

You just need the bolt and barrel like you said, plus an ar fcg and all the misc hardware. A mac upper is not required for the 22, only if you want to swap to 9mm. Also for 22 printed side plates will work, but if you ever go 9mm you will need metal or cf plates
