I will say that Demon Slayers animation is absolutely stunning and this arcs setting is super complex. The optimist in me is really hoping the long wait times is due to keeping the animation quality consistent throughout.
But man. Demon Slayer has not gotten anywhere close to Fate in terms of enjoyment for me.
Fate series have always been standalone enough that you get a satisfying arc each time. Narrative pacing, character development. It’s all there.
Demon Slayer, while even more beatiful than Ufotables previous work, is a complete slog narratively. I got tired of dealing with the plot and characters.
I agree, I honestly only watch Demon Slayer for the animation and fights. The visuals are enough to keep me somewhat invested in the story but not much
If it means the quality will be better, I don’t mind. At least they’re going with the Das Finale approach. Had me concerned that it’ll be like Attack on Titan’s “Final” season.
Chapter 3 - 2028
Milk milk milk milk milk
Christ at this rate I’ll read the fucking manga so Ufotable can stop edging me to get a satisfying conclusion
