If you have casted your own lead weight for the sy22 did you use the printed casting box printed in pla? Also did you use plaster of paris? Trying to get some info before a mold blows up in my face. This will be my first time casting. So I have my mold mixed 50/50 with sand. I figured I’d dry it until my next birthday 😂 in my filament dryer 😁
Just use kinetic sand
Print the weight as a mold and press it into firmly packed sand. Carefully remove the printed mold and pour. I’ve cast about 150 mp22 bolt weights this way and it’s super noob friendly
Was thinking of doing it that way tbh. I’ve already got the mold finished so I’m going to give it a try . If it doesn’t work Im going to do it the way you suggested. Then if there’s excess just bandsaw it off. Appreciate the reply
