so im getting a qidi q2 and a bunch of filament of different types, some of which is PLA+. i assume this should suffice for my first print but i think for my second print i will likely use paht or something similar, is this recommended? but anyway, my real important question is, is the FGC9 (MKII) still relevant? it’s what i want to make due to it having an easy PDF guide to follow, but is there something nowadays thats just as easy but better? again sorry for the retarded normie question.

FGC-9 in my mind will always be relevant for being fully DIY with a 3D printer, cheap welder and hand tools. It’s still in use in Myanmar as far as I’m aware.

Any major improvements in the diy PCC category in my opinion will probably come in the form of reliability/longevity through the use of better tools and materials, namely cheap CNC machines and engineering filaments.
