I got my form 1 approved for a FTN.4 DIY Piston i was wondering if anyone has tried to use a Aluminum Tube instead of the Carbon fiber tube. Would a Aluminum tube weigh to much? would it be able to cycle?

    Should not be a problem at all. The weight is effectively cancelled out by the nielsen device. Much heavier constructs (like 3m casting tape) have been tried with that, and did not affect cycling
