I might actually watch this recap because honestly this season has me really confused lol. I feel like I missed something inbetween last season and this season. Maybe I should watch the most recent movie. I assumed it was just the prequel episodes crammed together and released as a movie but maybe there’s more?
I don’t think you missed anything; I think the arcs just feel weirdly disconnected. The manga was like that too.
I’m not sure that would help.
Others have expressed similar confusion stemming from this story arc in the manga, so it it’s really a problem in the source material.
I’ve been asking for explanations after just about every episode, and that’s helped a little.
