Biden was the best president we’ve had in the last 40 years and an incumbent. It’s understandable to want to go with that instead of running someone new, even if he is having aging issues.

Biden was better than Obama or Clinton? His economic policy was horrible Keynesian MMT to the extreme. Inflation nearly got out of control on his watch, and the economy began to stagnate. He somehow managed to screw up the benefits of having a lax immigration policy by going full open border. His failures as a president are why we are stuck with Trump again, though as I mentioned I think it was his handlers who failed us in the end.
Inflation was largely due to the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). While it was bipartisan, the absolute lack of oversight was completely the Republicans and Trump.
Biden had less inflation than the rest of the world at that time. The US recovered better than most everyone else.
