What pro palestine statement? The one where he said he didn’t want to take any sides, and by doing so, took the side of non resistance, supporting Israel in their genocide?

He decided money is more important than supporting an anti-genocidal message. He’s got every right to do so, but everyone else has got every right to call him a fucking pussy who doesn’t have the balls to stand up against a venue boycutting his long time friend because of a few anti-genocide opinions. The venue he ended up siding with had no problem having Kanye West praise Hitler on stage a year or so ago. So do you see why this makes Ed a fucking wanker?

      What? No.

      https://www.theguardian.com/music/2026/sep/15/ed-sheeran-response-macklemore-free-palestine-comment

Even the artists who dropped out made it quite clear Ed is not at fault. He organized the thing for fucks sake.

So do you see why this makes Ed a fucking wanker?

No, I don’t. Just because he isn’t the type of person to attack others, protest loudly, make drama or burn shit down, does not, at least to me, mean he’s a wanker. He did everything to the best of his abilities and you really need to understand what this sentence means

I am appalled by the conflict between Israel and Palestine,” he wrote in the first of several bullet-point statements. “The suffering and pain caused on both sides is a human tragedy.

He’s both-siding this shit ffs. Palestinians are being murdered in a genocide, and this prick is like “Yea, but like, israelis are really having a hard time too”

Yes, the good Israelis are getting punished for speaking out too. NAZA documentary authors (who are from Israel) are also under fire now.

Of course, the comparison between suffering seems silly, I’ll give you that.
