I do wonder what the history books will say in a few hundred years after it all get muddled up through horrible book keeping and the power grid being blowup by the sun.

“The king in Orange ‘Donald Jonald Trunp’ made his last stand at his now atlantis style sunken kindom castle of Margarittaville, where he summond dragons of fire and brimstone called MAGA’s.”

Apparently, their taking Iranian threats seriously. And they should. I’d be nervous too if I was protected by a secret service that allowed an bumbling assassin to take 7 shots at at me.

The ABC here in Australia did a great summary of how the Secret service is being stretched by budget and staff cuts at a time when Trump is a big target of Iran.

To be fair the Iraq military has a $10 million bounty on Trump. That can get a lot of people over there very motivated and they would been seen as heroes in their country if they succeed.

Please. Those had to be staged, to support his arguments for his bunker ballroom.

Possible. To be fair, the bunker was necessary as the previous one was woefully inadequate. The ugly ballroom, that is all Trump ego.

Probably so they have a clear view of the sky without shooting through a palm tree.

I used to live in the area (actually right across the water from Mar-A-Lago in the El Cid neighborhood) and there really isn’t. Not in any place that might actually be workable for defense.

I guess they know what they’re doing. Every golf course I’ve ever been on has landscaping to set up secluded holes and to put tractor sheds and pump houses out of immediate sight. I guess that’s what I expected

There isn’t a golf course at Mar-a-Lago. The course is a few miles south and in West Palm (hilariously in a fairly rough part of town). But there’s way more green there than I remembered. But I’m guessing they don’t want guests to look out a window and see a missile battery on the lawn lol.

Well I’m completely missing something then. If there’s no golf then what’s the place for?

Also, grass parking with a half empty parking lot?

It was originally built as a presidential residence.

Then Trump bought it after the US Government offloaded it and much later it’s now technically a presidential residence.

I’m assuming that the the grass on the lake/intracoastal side (left hand in the photo) is parking for events and tennis. But the place is basically a dinner club. I’ve only ever been to the older clubs (used to date a girl whose family was generationally loaded and were members at the Beach, Sailfish, and Everglades clubs—none of which wouldn’t admit Trump as a member, which is why he turned Mar-a-Lago into a club in the first place). But they’re just overwrought places where the ultra rich socialize, eat, and have fancy parties.

Common misconception. There’s not actually a golf course at Mar a lago. It’s literally just a big gaudy mansion, some tennis courts, some landscaping. Also notable it’s only about a mile down the road from where Jeffrey Epstein used to live.
