Your votes are public on Lemmy. Just FYI.

You’re welcome! At the very least I’m hoping that by word of mouth it reaches someone who can. I feel for any animals in this position.

I’m not in a place where I can adopt a pet, but have shared it with my friend group. Hoping that helps

That’s valid. When the Star Wars Eclipse trailer dropped I didn’t really and still don’t know what to expect from it.
If you haven’t played previous Kotor games, your party usually consists of three characters max at a time like shown in the teaser.
From the swfotor website, it does say that the game is going to be an action RPG. Nothing else of substance has really been shared

Yeah, that’s what I’m expecting with this. As someone who’s played a good amount of Bioware’s games, I’m not putting much stock in the visual fidelity of the teaser trailer they showed here. Definitely interested in where the game takes place however

To be fair that’s usually how these teaser trailers work. Something with more substance would have definitely been nice, but I imagine that’s a few years off at a minimum.
There are a few very small details that stand out if someone has played the older Knights of the Old Republic games though

Yeah, there’s a lot of small details that already show some promise: three characters in the party, the hyperspace engine is clearly based off the Ebon Hawks engines, I’m positive that is the Leviathan in the background and they showed a gizka if you look closely enough. I got enough Kotor vibes from it to warrant revisiting Kotor 1 & 2 in the near future

Nice CG, but says nothing other than “New Star Wars game might come out someday.”
I mean, yeah, that’s fair. Trailers like this it’s best to keep expectations in check before seeing actual gameplay.
That said, seeing as Casey Hudson is involved I’m definitely more confident about this than the Kotor remake. Time will tell.

I have fond memories of episode I racer. I’m looking forward to this

Surprised this hadn’t been shared here yet. I’m cautiously optimistic

I’m glad that was added. If you haven’t seen that before it was actually from an unfinished episode of TCW. I’m sure the unfinished episodes are still floating around the net somewhere.
Yeah, TCW added a lot of depth and weight to important moments in the prequels. The opening scene adds a ton of depth with the foreshadowing

Agreed on both points. The animation may not have been season 7 quality, but for a fan project it definitely did a fantastic job.
I enjoyed watching the full fight uninterrupted with jump cuts between Yoda and Palpatine removed. I did like seeing some of the minor additions to the fight and thought using voice lines from the lego Star Wars games was a great choice (didn’t feel out of place).
The picture reminds me of this scene from Back to the Future Part III

Like one of the other comments said though, if it’s done well it could work.
