For a few years the US pushed anti corruption measures in Ukraine along with the rest of the world. Under Obama we pushed a chief attorney who refused to prosecute a corporation to resign. Unfortunately some people left out parts of the story where he was delaying the case. It was the corporation hunter Biden worked for so while it countered corruption, it looked bad if you didn’t know he was stalling the case. Some people never mentioned that detail. Now we have a new leader who revels in the corruption openly.

Correct. There was a back and forth movement of culture. Tomatoes were sent out, then they put them in pizza, then their immigrants came over with the pizzas. The world is a melting pot of cultures.

The argument that “I like immigrants, but don’t let them change our culture” has been around for a long time. They’d say that about Italians, and now I can find a pizza place all over town. Seems like they can change it for the better to me.

And I mean government people on the payroll/ at parties dressed as a conference? Yeah you would have seen my edit. I acknowledge lobbying. That gold key service doesn’t mention the chamber of commerce, but yeah, they are definitely in it. Of course they would be. But they are not a part of the government itself… unless we can argue that tapeworms are a part of the pig, if the pig is lousy with them. Which is fair.

The chamber of commerce is not in any way part of the US government, but they take advantage of people who think they are. They are like a union but for rich people and corporations.

Edit: I guess you could argue they are part of the government as any other lobbying group, but that’s like saying that tapeworms are just a part of pork. Probably a position the US chamber of commerce would support if they thought about it.

That’s our own fault though. The number 1 demographic causing drunk driving accidents was people 18 to 21. Making it so that they couldn’t drink in bars made them more likely to stay home to drink.
