That’s what this is? I don’t know what else you see or how your “this story is bullshit” wouldn’t amplify it either then.

Fact checking and clarifying fake news is not amplifying it, especially when it is already this widely spread.

The main purpose of the online feature is so that other people can invade your games to gank you. For me that’s the epitome of games to avoid.

The jedi not being strictly all that “good” isn’t all that new and I definitely would’ve liked to see that explored more, as well as more “neutral” force users, or even something from the perspective of the dark side too. I also don’t think this show was as bad as the review bombing made it out to be and on YT you kept just seeing the same rage baiting bigots too but it definitely missed the mark in many areas, despite having some good moments too. Still, a lot of the hate definitely came from the fact that we had a black female main character and some lesbian force witches. That’s pretty hard to ignore with how loud those people are.

I still want more something like Andor though. That was still the best Star Wars I’ve ever seen.

Yeah, but the show is so excellently written that it does not even need those “core elements” you’re used to. In fact, if they had them, it would just make it even better than it already is. Andor just feels so much more real and mature compared to anything else. I’ve never felt so much dread in regards to the empire. And the writing, acting and overall presentation is so good that you immediately get immersed into the world. It’s also moderate on the humor instead of the constant comedy shit that SW has become recently, where they have to shoehorn in something funny every few minutes.

The people not watching it.

No, just the competitive ones. I’ve played plenty of multiplayer games on Linux without issues.

Even Gold can be comparable to Windows. Even silver, since a lot of games don’t actually work well or at all on Windows anymore. At the same time, Platinum can still mean issues. It’s not that black & white comparable when there’s so many factors going into it (regardless of the OS).

If setting a simple setting is too much for you, which is also a 5 second search away if you’re struggling that hard, then yeah, Linux is too much for you. But so is Windows.

No, I’m actually with them on that one. The he / they issue in of itself is tiny, I agree, and if they’d just changed it from gendered to gender neutral language then nobody would’ve even cared. Most of us tend to write in a gendered way out of habit or because we think about our own gender, and in a casual conversation that isn’t that important. But this is about a piece of software that, surely, is not just meant for male audiences. It’s just unprofessional to address someone as male by default. Most importantly though, being this stubborn on having the user specifically male is just a weird hill to die on, but even weirder if that particular action is the one that is actually causing the drama - which they allegedly claim wanting to prevent by dismissing “politics”. And I’m sorry, but changing a “he” to “they” is not politics, it’s just including non male users. Nothing more, nothing less. So why is it such an issue to not just address specifically male users? It really only would be because those people hold some very questionable views, which, in my opinion, clash heavily with the whole concept of free and open source software, which is supposedly for everyone. So if your actions and views are this flawed, how can you be trusted on such an important project?

Also, in regards to this news… “no code from rivals” also is just a stupid thing to say and do. There’s plenty of good open source code that they could and probably even SHOULD use. But whatever. I’m not gonna support this project and predict it will fail anyway.
