  • The main difference between trump and every other president is that trump doesn’t know not to say the quiet part out loud. Most presidents are good at discretion, as most federal policies are monstrous.

Trump lead stadiums full of people in chants of, “build that wall,” in contrast to obama and biden who quietly maintained the barriers on the southern boarder. Same policy different messaging.

Gaza will be no different. Trump enthusiastically supports the genocide, whereas biden criticizes and puts on a show like he’s putting pressure on isreal, while still supporting them entirely. Same policy, different messaging.

I would love to be proven wrong, but expierence says otherwise.

  • This airport is small. It is only serviced by one commercial flight to one other airport. There are systems that allow for precision landings during poor visibility without GPS, but they are expensive so airports of this size often don’t have them.

Large airports use the Instrument Landing System, which are radio antennas built near the runway which broadcast radio beams along the approach path so the plane can land using their radios even in near zero visibility.

GPS based approaches are often used in small airports because they are much cheaper to use than radio based systems. Airplanes can land visually if conditions are right, but if GPS is needed for the only instrument approach for this airport and the weather isn’t clear, they have to divert.

  • TLDR: US operas tickets $35-350, symphony tickets $35-200. There are reasonable prices if you’re interested.

Classical music is expensive, and ticket sales rarely even cover half of an orchestra’s operating budget. The rest comes from wealthy donors. An arts organization asking for donations is standard practice.

Tickets are sold in a wide range of prices depending on the seat. I’ve done a little digging on ticket price ranges of major US cities that have both operas and orchestras.

Seattle Symphony $35-135 LA Phil $20-190 Dallas Symphony $46-253 Chicago Symphony $49-250 NY Phil $72-180

Seattle Opera $67-399 LA Opera $34-346 Dallas Opera $19-482 Lyric Opera of Chicago $41-297 Metropolitan Opera $47-465

In addition, most orchestras have much cheaper rush tickets or discount codes. If you are interested in classical music but can’t afford the tickets look into these options.

When the previous commenter said tickets are $300 I got suspicious. Though opera companies do sell $300 tickets those are near the top of the price range.

  • The A320 is fly by wire. Nearly all of the flight controls are operated by the hydraulic systems. A failure of all three hydraulic systems would make this plane incredibly difficult to fly.

A well maintained A320 should never have to ditch due to hydraulic issues, the redundancy makes sure of that. This crash is almost assuredly caused by the sanctions leading to planes dispatching with more inoperative systems than they should have.
