this is what im always trying to get people to understand. bitcoin is programmed to take more resources to artificially increase in value. its why its so horrible for the environment and why it could never really be used as a currency. Now other coins fix this issue but bitcoin tends to be popular because its fixed. Some even do useful work like gridcoin.
The us is not sleeping. Folks have not quit their jobs to go protest but were I am at we have local groups and everyone is attending protests as often as they can. Some are babysitting so several other families can protest. We are calling and emailing our congressmen. I have not seen this large and often of action in my lifetime.
I keep on thinking of the mad tv skit with the woman who says she can’t understand people with accents.
When I went to college one of my dorm neighbors was an engineer major and we were at uiuc. At one point we were talking about colleges we applied to and our choices and found out he got accepted to MIT. Im like. Why did you come here? They have a good engineering program and all but its still out of state for you and I mean. MIT! His response was. What if I change my major. He actually did change to pre-med.

that stuff is pretty far back though. It seemed in a good place before the millenium.
Before this millenia I never really thought about the courts and judges as doing things based on political philosophy. Like they were influence by it but not so far as to just ignore presidence and just twist written laws and the constitution.

that would not be so hard if it was not coupled with a scenario where people need to protect them and also draw down on them. Thats where it really gets tough.
