there’s a lot of possible causes.

because people who use their brains when buying cars largely stick to well-known brands with proven reliability and ideally a large aftermarket for spare parts where they live.

depending on location and terrain, a number of different cars are a good idea to buy. from a toyota Yaris/corolla in central europe, to the well-known Ford F-150 in america.

i can’t think of where i would even get spare parts for a BYD in europe. that might be a different situation for russia, china, etc.

if the cpu performance and memory capacity is still enough, i’d recommend upgrading the storage. SSDs are reportedly getting more expensive, but it isn’t that bad yet.

running an external drive through some kind of USB 3.X connection would also be possible, although at reduced speed. (won’t matter with a HDD, obviously)

not OC, but i ended up redownloading whatever was x265 and replacing it with 264 or anything else.

also the 1060 in my NAS can do NVENC encoding. that helped a lot with compatibility.

didn’t have money for an external hard drive or anything like that growing up, so a lot of stuff got lost over the years. but when i upgrade my NAS’ hard drive i will buy an enclosure and scrape all of the important stuff together. like recovery codes for my 3ds collection, old photos of my late cat. that kinda stuff. then i’ll see how frequently i’m gonna update the data.

i still have it because i need it for school. which is is the middle of the city, and we regularly have multiple people who are late. often more than 20 minutes. it seems to be shit everywhere i my area.

i get the equvalent of a 49€-Ticket for 25€ at my company. that’s a great deal. unfortunately public transport is extremely unreliable in my part of the city, so i can’t really use it to get to work. plus i save an hour of my time every day i drive to work.
