During the first year (Jesus I can’t believe I’m saying this), my colleagues in Ukraine thanked us for the work we had and disappeared. I saw him post in a gaming blog comment about Elden Ring dlc so I think he’s alive.
Most of the world wants to be left alone.
Don’t have to imagine it. That’s most companies too.
They’re not wrong.
“Focus on your core,” Murphy said, speaking at an event organized by the Automotive Press Association where he presented the bank’s annual Car Wars report. “And China is no longer a core strategy to GM, Ford or Stellantis.”
Every American brand car in the past decade looks and acts like shit and is wildly overpriced. Foreign cars continue to outperform. And a few years ago, I would have gotten a Tesla until Musk revealed he was bat shit insane.
The maintenance part crushed me. Most of my other self hosted home setup, I fiddle with at most 2-3 times a year. Next cloud, I logging in at least once a month because something wasn’t working.
Thanks for sharing that. My job set up NextCloud for cloud sharing and I thought it was pretty cool. Tried to set it up at home for sharing on a home network with my family and felt really confused. Every week there was a new problem that I had to solve and ended up going back just network drives and sharing.
Last year, I tried my admin creds at my old job and it still worked. I was afraid of retaliation so I sent them a message from a throwaway email about changing their passwords.
I was so amazed at European and Asian cities that had good public transportation. Just being able to walk everywhere.
And then we made it cute by putting it on clothing. What a twist.
So if Gaza made an attack on this base and rescued 4 hostages while killing 3 hostages (oopsie) and 250+ Israelis including children… Are they considered heroes too like these posts make them out to be

I went to Japan earlier this year.
On one end, I was extremely amazed at how far my money went.
On the other end, watching shitty tourists treat Japan like a playground was disheartening.
That made my eyebrows want to climb above my face.
Is it the wording? They said “Arabic”.
I don’t know anything about building, China, mosques, etc. I’m just saying words.
This is so fucking funny to me.
Hell yeah theyre going to put it on your PERMANENT RECORD. Jesus.
I can really only imagine that this was the product of a corporate yes-man culture, where critical voices get sidelined or eliminated and the solution to every problem is to just throw money at it (but not too much money, just enough to make it look passable).
Having worked with a bunch of egotistical rich folks (of which there are so many and you won’t see them on the news), they see this as research. I used to believe in fighting to do the right thing, but they aren’t going to have it. I see a trainwreck and rich CEO is going to push it no matter what. All I can do is brace for impact, ride the wave, keep people employed and take the money, all while knowing it will fail.
Heck, you see it all the time. The VR worlds, the tone-deaf games, the hardware nobody asked for, the shitty movies.
I immediately thought this was the Onion. Sigh.
We’re you thinking like Doom Lan party, or some weird supercluster with the pure focus of running Doom?
I was just thinking about this.
Someone dressing their norm is catching strays.
Automatics are stupid hard to shoot accurately.
I can’t even…
Oh you’ll see. It’ll be super massive. It’ll be amazingly punishing!
It’ll be like… 0.2% of their gross.
Then it’ll spend years in legal battles to become 0.05%.
