Disagree. Social media is built to favor creating and then selling huge name influencers to your users, and because you cannot become a large influencer/streamer/w/e without essentially being uncritical about the world, or being critical in a way that swings completely to 1 side of the aisle. This is in itself a form of moderation that only ever allows some critical voices to succeed, but only if their critique furthers the divide among the working class.

There is nothing you can/could do. The endless war against intelligence and focus on just believing what some screaming asshole says on talk radio, combined with the dawn of the internet being weaponized to spread that brain rot, and here you go. I remember learning through multiple personal experiences some time during highschool that some adults were vastly less intelligent and wise than some of my fellow 16 yr olds, it was shocking to me. Honestly I think some people hit puberty and just began coasting, ego and entitlement outweighed curiosity, and they began to live with the belief that society’s collection of history, science, and reasoning, was worth less than their own personal opinion.

Not to say you are right or wrong, but by that logic I could tell you that santa clause has also prevented nuclear war an knowable number of times. Its a bad argument.

Just decent is pretty much exactly what it felt like to me, which was really all I needed from this. Enough time spent with Star wars and “just don’t suck” becomes the safest hope lol.
