Guns are regulated. How much regulation, who gets allowed, what types of guns, and if the regulations are being enforced, those are the real questions. This warrant and shooting is a result of a law that wasn’t enforced well, as they had already broken the law once and yet someone sold/gave them guns again.

The series started out good as him literally being reborn as a new person via the Raiders way of life. Then it seemed to go into him seeking a retirement plan with passive income using the open spot Jabba left. That Mando’s cameo stole the show showed how dull it had become. I actually loved the idea of him injecting purpose into the vandals by hiring them, but did they have to be so campy? Jesus, I hadn’t thought of that spin-shot in a while…why?
In some other universe where the sequels had continuity in both plot and directing, it ended up making a lot of sense once revisited. As did Rey’s history and path she took.

As a Gen-X I have to ask what exactly is meant by that. That you openly admit cyber bullying gives some hint, but I’d rather get a self definition than to assume.
Because before Firefox I used Netscape. It’s had its ups and downs but it’s never been bad to me to the point of considering moving to anything else. So a combo of legacy and that it works.
The reason cited for nuclear propulsion enabling us to get to places like Mars faster is wrong. It’s not the amount of thrust, but the ability to use constant thrust longer (because we can fuel longer burns). It’s why the plot device of the Epstein drive in The Expanse opened up the whole solar system - they can do a burn for days and use up very little fuel. We’re nowhere near that, but nuclear would be far better than conventional rockets that have very limited burn time plus have heavy fuel to carry with them.
Musk is the kid in the video that moves all the people to just one of the tracks, gets praised by everyone for thinking outside the box, and then proceeds to run the trolley down that track.
That’s not even realistic. I know that Starfield isn’t meant to be a simulator, but if you put in something to try and be “real”, you should do it right. Gravity would affect the weight of something, but the inertia is still the same. Moving and stopping a big object in space with no gravity at all is still hard to do.

True, and then because it’s a black box there wouldn’t be a known issue at all. Or maybe it would be much less of an issue because the words might have blended others into the mix, and his style wouldn’t be as obvious in the outputs, and/or it would be easier to dismiss. Did the training involve actual input of his name, or was that pulled from the source trained on? How much control was in the training?
I totally agree with you on protecting the basics of creativity and growth. I think the core issue is using “imitate” here. Is that what the LLM is doing, or is that an anthropomorphism of some sense that there’s intelligence guiding the process? I know it seems like I’m nitpicking things to further my point, but the fact that this is an issue to many even outside artwork says there is a question here of what is and isn’t okay.
And yet the artist’s name is used to push the weights towards pictures in their style. I don’t know what the correct semantics are for it, nor the legalities. That’s part of the problem, the tech is ahead of our laws, as is usually the case.

That’s really the big thing, not just here but any material that’s been used to train on without permission or compensation. The difference is that most of it is so subtle it can’t be picked out, but an artist style is obviously a huge parameter since his name was being used to call out those particular training aspects during generations. It’s a bit hypocritical to say you aren’t stealing someone’s work when you stick his actual name in the prompt. It doesn’t really matter how many levels the art style has been laundered, it still originated from him.

I did comment that enforcement seemed to be part of the problem here, yes. Do the laws need to be more strict? I doubt that will fix any enforcement, since that’s the failure.
