but almost all consume materials that were produced by raping children.
So what’s your take on lolicon?
That’s not what was said though. They didn’t talk about the concept, they spoke about the Olympics. They straight out said:
The Olympics are one of the best things humanity does. … the Olympics are one of the only times the whole world comes together to at least attempt to do something positive.
Which is objectively untrue. It is not a global positivity exercise; it is not the world “coming together”. That’s just their marketing bullshit.
It is just a business that profits off people without compensating them.
I don’t know where that comes from, and it’s always bothered me that fantasy and sci fi conflate the two words.
Homo sapiens is the species, not the race. So racism will still mean the same thing as it means now.
Guess who runs the Olympics?
I wonder what we’re going to call it when actual aliens show up. Then xenophobia will literally mean fear of aliens, so what will we call fear of foreign nationals?
Pretty sure clown shows are just called circuses.
I didn’t get that insinuation at all.
Do you see the same insinuations with the statement “Obama increased drone strikes”?
I’m sure you’d happily support the insinuation that trump was a dictator if something similar were said about him.
you make it sound like he did this by himself.
He is the public face of the government. Of course he didn’t do everything by himself, good or bad. Everybody knows that already, it’s a stupid point to make. He’s chosen to take on the job of being his governments public face, and statements about government being directed at him personally is just part of the job.
Trump wasn’t personally throwing children in jail, but when people talk about the border detentions that happened during his presidency, we still say Trump did it.
Obama didn’t personally approve every drone strike, he was backed up by plenty of other politicians, but we still say Obama increased the drone strikes.
So the exact same reaction that men the world over have when women start demanding equal rights.
Because Korea in general has been historically misogynistic
There’s nothing particularly Korean about this. Basically every culture is historically misogynistic, the exceptions are few and far between and are generally romanticized based on limited information.
The exact same reactions took place in America 100 years ago during women’s suffrage, and are taking place again now with the abortion debacle.
A holiday home is a second home. If you don’t have a home already and that’s what you purchase, it’s not your holiday home, it’s your only home.
I don’t know why anyone would agree to do that.
The problem was not created by the nurses, and it is not their responsibility to address it. If there is chronic underfunding and/or understaffing, the politicians and the filthy rich people in charge are the ones responsible and they are the ones who need to fix it.
Don’t put the blame and responsibility on average people just trying to live their lives.
UBI is supposed to replace other need-based social programs such as disability, welfare programs, government housing, etc. The entire point is that the money from those programs, which collectively have quite a lot of waste, goes into UBI so everyone can participate in society on a more fair level.
Also read the reply to that comment for an example of the waste: https://lemmy.world/comment/4589897
There’s basically an entire industry dedicated to denying and minimizing payouts. With UBI, that entire industry becomes obsolete.
If UBI is done properly, it replaces those other social programs. The payouts are bigger and for more people, and the program administration costs are smaller.
Where are you getting his income figures from?
If you haven’t changed jobs in a few years, you can probably find another job with a raise that gets you 30k more in about 3 years.
“Everyone works in STEM”
This product is known to the state of California
For business sure. But what about consequences for the people who made the decisions?
Bye bye DEW line!
