And with that, Takopi is over. The ending still feels oddly abrupt, but I like it so much better than most other manga about troubled children/teen with clean conclusions.

Can’t believe this is the first time I hear the expression “Wernher von Braun club”, fantastic.

Never seen a show with a suicide warning at the beginning, but its understandable. Still can’t believe this got animated.

They’ve done a great job maintaining the manga’s squiggly design for Takopi in motion while the children look more cartunesque, almost malnourished.

The animation is also fairly good when it matters; for a dramatic show, there’s no high octane action, instead relying on character’s minor gestures - plus Takopi’s jelly-like body having some fun bits

Though the shining point is really are the character’s expressions and emotions - or lack of them

Very surprised to learn this is going to be adapted, the manga is brutal. I love it, but its not something I expected being animated.
