I mean, they’re not gonna stop developing deadlock once it comes out. It’s likely gonna be a decade long project at least. More hands won’t hurt.

It’s in closed beta right now
She says this as if the far-right doesn’t constantly belittle, cuss out, diminish, put down, and spread falsehoods about their opponents and minorities
It was obviously gonna happen sooner or later, tbh I’m surprised it took this long
average person would be able to understand the MD5 checksum
Well, it ought to be just yet another skill in the modern world such as reading, critical thinking, media literacy, paying your taxes, etc. I think just saying “average person won’t understand this” is a bit of a cop out. Like, yes, you’re right, but there is no other way around this, it needs to be implemented as a core feature in social media, the verifications of origins.
This stuff isn’t just going to get better by itself. AI will only get better at faking as time goes on.

The “extremes” here being “social justice” and “anti-social justice”
…I’m gonna side with the social justice side here.
Have you met the kids of those rednecks? A lot are estranged from their parents.
Especially with the internet, parents have a limited amount of control over kids, the more important part is education.
The whole point is that the market’s irrational, why would I buy shorts and basically gamble away my money? The literal point of this thread chain is that the stock value is disconnected from real-world practicality.
GameStop is a dying company. All I’ve seen in my life are more and more GameStop shops closing down around me.
Any success behind him has just purely been because he’s a walking money bag, otherwise he just seems like a hindrance.
The system sure works /s
I compare them to good indie games, and in that sense most AAA games are bland rehashed kitchen sinks that all look and play the same. It’s boring.
And these are systemic issues
This would make sense… If it was exactly the same everywhere with a similar level of convenience.
But it’s not, America is much much worse than Europe on this, and rich countries in Europe don’t exactly have less convenience than the US. How else would you explain it other than a systemic difference? American brains are not fundamentally different to European ones.
Maybe it’s energy intensive, but energy can be clean, especially now that renewable energy is starting to become the cheapest form of energy. You could even make up for the variance by only processing when there is an energy surplus.
This time it will be different!!!
This is standard practice in anti-cheat methodology, and is generally agreed upon to result in much more positive long-term outcomes.
I feel like console exclusivity is starting to become a thing of the past. PC is getting less ignored, and a lot of GTA V later success was due to PC multiplayer, I believe?
People need to understand the west aren’t exactly acting in the name of moral good, but pragmatic egoism, instead. Just because helping Ukraine is good in this instance, doesn’t mean governments do it for the same reasons for why most people think they should get help.
It’s realpolitik, and human lives don’t matter. As much as I despise that thought.
The west may be better, but it’s still not good.
Sure, but deadlock isn’t exactly late. And if there’s a time when you want to add more developers, then an alpha when the game is still in the early stages is the best time to do so
