If America is going to continue to be not Trump, it’s going to have to move fast.

With Musk threatening 60 Minutes staffers with prison and Trump taking over the FCC, it’s already moving into the official government-controlled media stage, and when (if) significant protests start happening, it’s going to quickly move into the gulags and mass graves stage.

And then, for all intents and purposes, the US will be Trump, like it or not.

I quite sincerely believe that the long term goal is for the US to formally ally with Russia in a war against the EU.

I’m not kidding.

They’re explicitly trying to get them killed.

And at some point they’re going to succeed.

Meta has officially adopted the Musk/Trump conception of free expression - promoting bigotry and hate and silencing dissent.

We could well be heading towards something interesting in the not very distant future.

I’m not sure if Musk sincerely believes his wealth makes him untouchable or if he’s too self-absorbed to even consider the matter, but it works out to the same thing either way - he’s likely wrong.

He can get away with a fair bit manipulating an emotionally stunted egomaniac like Trump, but when he starts trying to butt into European politics, he’s going to find himself running up against families that have been pulling political strings for centuries now, and who don’t fancy crude upstarts with nothing more than money going for them, and if he proves to be too much of a problem for them, they’re going to squash him like a bug.

Antisemitism gets harder to resist every day.

Nobody ever told you that “only” Trump was bad for Palestine.

If you need to lie to promote your viewpoint, then your viewpoint is shit.

This isn’t about Hamas or the hostages - it’s about the Israeli hard right’s desire to utterly destroy the Palestinians and rule over all the land from the river to the sea, and Netanyahu’s need to maintain enough support to stay in office and out of prison.
