Just chilling
Nonsense! We will write that history so that we’re clearly the good guys!
Unless you’re saying it’s possible we’ve not always been the good guys but surely that’s not it.
It’s cool, you just have to drop a grand every year or two to enjoy that gorgeous screen. Think of it like a subscription to a 15% prettier screen for only 5x the price over 10 years.
Yes we’ve had proxy war. But what about second proxy war? And elevenses?
Right, but I think a lot of people in the Southwest are heading to Texas. Because driving another dozen hours makes a difference in the total trip time. I know I personally can’t afford the time from AZ to go further north.
Good thing there’s nothing astronomical happening in Texas next week that only happens once every decade or so in the US, which people might flock to Texas to stand in crowds to see before dispersing back home across the Southern US. 😅
They can do JATO for both takeoff and landing but it’s tremendously risky and hard on the airfare so it’s reserved for extreme emergencies where there are no other options, IIRC.
So approximately 3x what it cost a year ago.
I’m currently playing Lego City Undercover on my steam deck, which is only as crashy as the switch version, and it’s great because my 10 year old is also playing it on the switch, as is my 4 year old. Obviously we all play it differently but it’s been a fun couple of weeks all playing the same game.
If you’re up for pgp and git, gnu password store is a killer app. There are a few guis, including Android and iOS, and if you use gopass there’s a nice plugin for browsers as well. And it’s ultimately just two tools that are both solid and generally well known.
I think it means you probably use software they contribute to even if you don’t pay them.
My 3090 is a light flickering machine. Kind of annoying tbh.
I mean, that’s exactly the same set of problems faced by closed source software. I guess one potential difference is that you can hire new devs to take over if it’s successful enough. But both crappy documentation and team burnout have killed lots and lots of internal projects at places I’ve worked.
I’m assuming OP wants to run on Linux and I’m not familiar enough with .NET Core to know how much or how easily you can run it on Linux. I know some things definitely run, I just don’t know how much.
For camera software, zoneminder is a classic, and frigate is probably the new kid in town. Web hosting will depend on your web developers but docker will have you covered for almost anything. Probably just steer clear of asp.net dev shops.
Mixing storage and processing is now cool again. It’s just called hyper converged infrastructure.
Man I’m really not a fan of this post covid remilitarization. I’d really like it if my kids aren’t drafted into a war with China, Russia, and Iran for the future of a rapidly less habitable planet.
The beatings will continue until morale improves.
I mean. “she was killed by the IDF” is passive voice, no? I think IDF is out of control as much as the next person but passive voice can be communicative and clear as much as active voice. And clearly it’s easy to reach for if you gave it as a counter example accidentally.
