I’m not interested in arguing. You’re welcome to your opinion as well.
Multiple individuals noted the value of diving into non-GUI server administration, and I wanted to share a tool that could be of interest down the road.

😄 Sometimes it’s hard to remember the differential
The learning curve might be a little high in some regards, but you may want to try NixOS. There are quite a few services ready to enable and customize for self-hosting, and the design makes updating packages fairly simple.
To be clear, NixOS is not a “simple” solution, but it does work well for self hosting.
I’m confused by this. Can you explain?
Trump is doing nothing more than pandering to the oil industry because they want to export LNG from Alaska. Besides, American refineries are largely equipped to handle heavier crude - Canada is helping us out.
We only have a (very) small trade deficit with Canada if you include oil. Canada is subsidizing what we do import to help us out (you know - we’re supposed to be friends).
Don’t believe the b/s that comes out of Trump’s mouth.
You do realize that Canada is subsidizing oil for the US, right?

Had the same thought - casualty is definitely not the right word to use here
Are they going to send back eggs?
Completely agree.
I might be wrong, but I think the Palestinian community had Kamala’s attention and a real opportunity to affect policy if she won the election.
Trump obviously doesn’t care what anyone thinks. He only cares about money/power.
Yep. This article explains the problem well: https://taxfoundation.org/testimony/tariffs-alternatives-boost-us-competitiveness/
Tariffs have an overall negative effect on the US. Not only will products become more expensive (domestically produced and imported), the dollar will also strengthen, reducing exports to other countries. It’s a lose-lose situation.
Yep - it’s one of the reasons Miami sees so much Trump support.
Countries can do a lot of things. You’re discussing something that didn’t happen though.
According to the article, we sanctioned Venezuela, and they ignored those sanctions to purchase and smuggle a plane from the US.
The sanctions themselves are a separate discussion, but I think a reasonable person could expect some form of consequence. To be clear, I’m not defending the sanctions. I haven’t spent enough time reading about them to form an opinion.
?
Was Air Force One illegally purchased in China and smuggled out?
Well said and thanks for expanding on the topic. It’s great to get more information out there and give others extra perspective.
I find Haskell fascinating too - it really changes your expectations of programming languages!
