  • just beat a difficult game about climbing and i loved it! it’s the only other game in the genre that has risen to the heights of getting over it in terms of gameplay mechanics and level design.

if anyone reading this knows about a community for these types of games (foddian? getting over it-likes?), please send it my way. i love these games to bits and have so much to say about them but to my knowledge basically no one cares about these games outside of watching people on twitch get angry at them.

looking forward to playing return of the obra dinn, then i’ll probably start speedrunning the climbing game until baby steps releases lol

  • its different from the other ones, mostly in terms of ui and game feel, but it plays the most like 3. the caves are great so far (if a little short, but there is still plenty more for me to do), overall its just been lots of fun but i do wish it was a little harder. The big areas are super cool, and the design improvements allow you to just go diving into any caves or dandori battles you find in your travels without having to worry about where are my pikmin, do i have everyone, do i have the right types, etc.

would definitely recommend it to any pikmin fans

  • he has a bunch of shorter stories that you could easily jump into without any order but i’d recommend reading uzumaki first. its a classic, is one of his longer mangas, and encapsulates a lot of what makes ito’s stories unsettling. i’ve never actually gotten one of the short story collections so i can’t recommend any in particular, but i’ve yet to read an ito manga i regretted reading so i would say just pick whichever one interests you the most.

also, if you’re into cosmic horror, i recommend hellstar remina since i don’t see it talked about as often as his other stories.
