I think the point is that the term “child labor” could be broadly interpreted as anywhere from teenagers having part time jobs to little kids slaving away in Victorian workhouses. There’s obviously a lot of differences between those extremes and I think most people tend to think of something closer to the latter when they hear “child labor.”

2·1 month agoWas the bar up to code? I have no idea what building codes are like in Europe. I get the feeling that even if codes are as strict as the US, a lot of older dangerous or disabled-unfriendly buildings are grandfathered in due to the age of cities there.

A very important point that we should all remember. It’s critical to continue a no-tolerance policy of intolerance, but to accept those who want to change.
I’m not running to Chick-fil-A anytime soon but the point remains.
