So the judge’s reasoning is that the motive isn’t provable, even though there is evidence for the motive? Motive isn’t necessary for conviction, just an additional point in the prosecution. This is wild.

Man I’d love to see videos of that wave.
This is one of those weird instances of flipped roles. Hippos are horrible for the natural environment in Colombia, but the locals actually love them because they bring in tourist dollars. Enough people want to see the hippos that the locals have set up tour companies around it. So the environmentalists want to kill the animals, and the local businesses are trying to protect the animals.
What are you going on about? What specifically about my post makes you think I have no understanding of the German car market? I mean, I’ve only owned multiple BMWs, a Mercedes, and an Audi. I’ve driven Porsches on the racetrack and VWs on the autobahn. My parents and friends’ parents had BMWs and Mercedes when I was a kid. I’m definitely no expert on the overall car market or even the German car market, but I’ve been a car enthusiast since I was a kid in the early 80s and have a decent understanding of the basics.
Mercedes and BMW were never known for reliability. They were known for combining luxury and a great driving experience, which couldn’t be had from any other car company, even Porsche (which was only about driving not luxury until recently) or Cadillac (only luxury and not driving until recently). German engineering has been famous for poor reliability since at least the early 80s.
Blind faith in what, though? You keep throwing out meaningless sayings without actually saying anything. You say you find it cool, but not why you find it cool. You say it has meaning, but you don’t say what meaning. You say it’s called blind faith, but you don’t say blind faith in what.
Oh good, another story about the same moon looking the same way it has for a billion years… but this time it’s called a Hunter’s moon instead of a Mother’s moon or some meaningless shit. Supermoons happen literally 4 times a year. Blue Supermoons are 6% of all full moons, so they aren’t even all that special.
What meaning? The moon is on a 28 day cycle that regularly overlaps with a 30 day month cycle. There is no meaning behind that.
Do you have any idea how much pixels cost in this economy?!
Look, when you say something stupid, you have to expect people to treat you like you are stupid. This isn’t him/her being a bully, this is just the expected result of you implying a tornado sinking a boat is somehow connected to a bitcoin theft.
I did, too. I thought this metric was a good thing. Like, “oh good, China is addressing their child labor problem.”
Wait, so those annoying commercials for what looks like an incredibly lame dance show are backed by Falun Gong? I did not expect that.
Maybe we don’t need more people in the world?
Record number of people are leaving because things are so bad!!!
Wait, record number of people are arriving because things are worse elsewhere making net migration in positive? Let’s downplay that because predictions show that MIGHT slow down and it hurts our story about how bad things are.
Solid point.
Conversely, I never thought I’d praise anything Maduro did.
The story sounds completely contrived, but not wildly unrealistic. Like the kind of thing I would make up as a teenager to get out of being in trouble. It could totally be true, though.
At the same time, dorzolamide is a masking agent not a performance enhancer on its own. Also, the World Anti Doping Agency has a specific exemption for dorzolamide, so it isn’t banned. Even if she was taking it and not getting it from her dad’s pillows, it isn’t bannable. She probably took it to hide weed or a recreational drug not doping.
I wonder how hard Catalan police are looking for a Catalan separatist. I know the Catalonians are split fairly evenly, but I don’t know whether the local police are typically pro-separatists.
The rules are there to keep the wrestlers safe. Is 0.1kg over OK? What about 0.2kg? 1kg? I mean, how much of a difference can 2.2 pounds really make when wrestling?
The thing is they know the limit. They push it (too hard IMO) to eke out every advantage. In her case she was 2kg over the day before and went on an extreme dehydration and exercise protocol to drop weight. The protocol was so bad she needed to be immediately placed on IV fluids after the weigh-in to keep her healthy. The rules are there to protect the athletes who DIDN’T go overweight by too much the day before.
Seriously fuck this guy. He barely holds on against fierce competition from the far right, and his reaction is to install a not-as-far right PM?
