Biden’s primary stated reason for defending Israel is a promise to his dying father.

Not his conscience, not the people alive and around him today, not the people who voted for him, not the people who he’s depending on to get re-elected.

Yep. Strange how Biden was able to figure out how to get weapons to Israel without congressional approval and against the wishes of people he’s depending on to get re-elected but can’t use that same brain power of his to help Ukraine.

We don’t believe Biden along with his moderate and liberal voters are taking the threat of Trump seriously when they refuse to compromise with leftists and progressives they’re depending on for votes. If you believe Trump is half as dangerous as you say he is then cutting off weapon shipments is a bargain. Refusing to block strikes is a bargain. Pick a lane.

Of course. Biden will be too busy blocking the next rail strike in 2025 to care about what progressives and leftists think about Israel.

Then the people who would refuse to vote for Biden in 2024 if he cuts off weapon shipments need to think long and hard which one is more important to them.

The crazy part to me is how there’s all this focus on the obligations of progressives and leftists to compromise while ignoring the supposed reason why. If Biden would lose support for cutting off weapon shipments that means there are people who voted for Biden in 2020 but refuse to do so in 2024 because they want to support genocide.

Those are the people who deserve the lectures, shame and endless repetition of the “vote blue no matter who” mantra. Those people are not holding up their end of the bargain. They demand compromise yet yield nothing in return. While whining when Republicans do the exact same shit.
