kebab@endlesstalk.orgto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Reevaluating my password managementEnglish1·11 days agoBecause it lets you sync your passwords anytime, without having to connect to the VPN first, which saves time. And the risk of data leak is not really there since the passwords are encrypted by a strong master password anyways. With Vaultwarden, you can host your database even publicly and share it on Lemmy and nothing would happen, provided you use a strong master password, which you definitely should.
kebab@endlesstalk.orgto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Reevaluating my password managementEnglish2·12 days agoWhat’s the issue of exposing this one to the internet? Even if the database gets leaked somehow, your passwords are still protected by a hopefully strong master password + strong encryption

What does the community think?English7·13 days agoI hate to say this but it’s gonna be expensive obviously compared to what you can get from China. Just look at the CPU - for a NAS, it’s a huge overkill. Aoostar WTR Pro looks identical for NAS storage needs and costs around 300 euros on AliExpress. I don’t see this thing being priced any lower than that

The Chinese brands are on the rise and those are not just the relative numbers but the absolute numbers too. The data for Q2 shall be there in a few days, I guess it’s worth to wait for it

kebab@endlesstalk.orgto World News@lemmy.world•Tesla sales drop in Europe for fifth month in a rowEnglish144·17 days agoSad part is that they’re getting outcompeted by the Chinese EVs, not the European carmakers. The whole money will just fund CCP’s ambitions instead of US ambitions, neither of which is good for European future
