  • Yes. Also, I don’t care about her vagina. That’s not the point. The point is that having a Y chromosome likely means her body has experienced heightened testosterone her whole life, which makes her much more physically capable than a normal woman whose body would not have experienced heightened testosterone levels. That basically means it’s unsafe for her more normal competitors to get in the ring against her, same as it would be to put her up against Hafthor Björnsson.

All Olympic athletes should be genetically tested for these things, so they can compete in the right class/heat/category.

  • I liked a lot of it: there were cool fights, the bad guy was awesome, I’m a fan of stuff having to do with the Sisters, and I liked the whole commentary about how these cracks in the Jedi order set them up for their later fall. I thought it was fun & entertaining overall. Also liked it was a different time period other than the usual Skywalker & the Empire.

I thought some of the characters were pretty bland, like Yord & Vanestra’s padawan. The writing wasn’t perfect, but I don’t really watch Star Wars for the high quality writing.

  • Those are valid reasons to like a show, though we might not all share that opinion. The critical reviews are also valid, not saying they aren’t.

Personally, I never expect good writing or excellent film quality when it comes to Star Wars since it’s never been well written or anything more than a mid-level movie with an amazingly endearing campy atmosphere, and an excellent & interesting world the story takes place in. Aside from Rogue One & Andor, those are uncharacteristically good for Star Wars properties.

  • I liked the show. It was refreshing to watch some Star Wars that wasn’t all about the Skywalkers, and came with a new setting in the timeline of Star Wars.

Definitely shows how arrogant the Jedi had become, and I can now much more clearly see how & why the Jedi fell. Pretty sure I saw Plagueis, so hopefully we get another show that expands on him. (I don’t care about the books, I’m dyslexic & this comment is already a trial)

Sol should have done nothing, and left those kids alone. He knew they were too old to be trained, and it’s irrelevant, to me, how they were created, since it was two women, the ones that are typically responsible for creating life, who gave them life.

There was a lot that could’ve been resolved just by talking more transparently: the entire plot with Mae & Osha, Indara sticking to her gut/instincts instead of giving in to her party, the vergence could have been found by asking the Sisters instead of being colonialist & pretentious towards them.

It could’ve been better, and it could’ve been worse, but that’s what most Star Wars has always been: imperfect & endearing. It was very much Star Wars, and it expanded the Star Wars universe to all the fans that just want to watch the shows & movies without getting into the other media, the Legends books, or reading Wookiepedia.
