(sorry mostly for op but wanted to add to this comment) While I’m not much into email structure for imap tech, that does appear to be my experience. You can pull what it has but also need to make sure your saved is not more than what is allowed by provider. Full email does happen.

Unsure about the pop3 recommendation (never saves on server you just download it and it’s gone from there but I probably missed something) but the forever for your syncing off IMAP was because you must have tons of shit in your email. Between the connection of your phone to internet vs provider it just took that long

If you let it properly sync once it’ll probably be fine going forward. Just let it sync at the start of an evening or before a movie sort of thing and it’ll catch up. But given what you said I’d do it on WiFi cause mobile data can be pricey is all. Though I get tons of data on my plan and rarely use it, good to know when you’re using it elsewhere. Also most phones let you get an idea of mobile data vs WiFi to keep track if you’re worried (android myself but mostly under settings, network … Then somewhere underneath will let you know if you’re getting too high)

Though guess if issue is your phone may not have space for it all, gotta work with that first. Can’t suggest much than delete stuff you don’t need. Sort of your own thing there unfortunately, rather than a strict suggestion.

Huh neat, cause we always called them thongs growing up and grandparents were not from there as far as I knew. I always felt closer to the EU (well probably more when UK was a member) as a Canadian. Probably lots of my household words while growing up were British (for example thong, foot beachwear vs underwear)than say American English.

I hope we get a closer tie with them regardless, we are a relatively small country by gdp and population compared to many and I don’t want to deal with Nazis like it’s the 1940s. I played enough stealth games, not my thing. I agree, as a Canadian even if not perfect I couldn’t imagine having a pay system or even what the US calls healthcare. That’s the point of taxation, we get roads that are drivable, healthcare that is affordable and stuff like food standards, clean drinking water, education. The billionaires are trying to say everyone else doesn’t need such things so they can get a bigger nibble of the pie when they already have truckloads.

I never watched it growing up but everything I’ve heard about it since I was an adult is great. Never watched much skit comedy outside of kids on the hall and that’s just when not much else was on.

Nowadays I’d say the kids in the hall stuff was much better than other stuff I watched, cause I’m not sure I even remember…some syndicated sitcom I assume, waiting for dinner.
