So give me a solution. How can America organize en masse?
For that, we need mass organization, which is extremely difficult both logisticly (due to the size of the US and how spread out the polulation is) and politicly (decades of neoliberal and red scare propoganda).
We’re not French, unfortunately.
No it won’t. Plenty of studies show decreasing overall productivity when workers work longer weeks.
This is just meant to make workers suffer more.
Lemmy isn’t listed as a Reddit alternative. I wonder why that is.
They are also recommending PrivacyTools.io, which had a nasty takeover and started selling ad space. Privacy Guides is the better site.
Force all companies to be worker-owned cooperatives, Richard Wolff-style.
Also the stock market doesn’t really need to exist. It’s just gambling with extra steps, and the people who win at that game end up having control over way more than one person should ever have. Also goes along with the above, which is complete worker ownership over companies.
It’s almost like he doesn’t care about Israelis or something…
Sociopath’s gonna sociopath.
The Texas Supreme Court is incorrect.
So nothing new.
Personal responsability can only work if people are able to both educate and control themselves, which these companies are actively working against though psychological manipulation and by making their foods as addictive as possible.
The real solution is to remove corruption from the government by removing control from the people who are corrupting the government.
And yet the mergers still went through
“When fascists come to America, it will be wrapped in an American flag and be holding a cross up high.”
- I forgot who said this (69420 A.D.)
The rich wrote the history books and have a strong influence in education, so… yeah.
Don’t forget about the Red Scare either. We’re still feeling the effects today (mostly in the US, which matters everywhere else as well due to the economic influence of the US in the world)
Both Discord and Messenger have shit privacy practices. I’d try out Matrix or Conversations (XMPP). Niether require a phone number to work.
If you don’t mind using a phone number for registration, I’d recommend Signal.
Signal is probably going to be the simplest to use, but the other two are also pretty easy to get up and running relatively speaking.
TIL Japan still has the death sentence.
Cast iron FTW. Seasoning makes it non-stick, and it’s so much easier to clean compared to other cookware, not to mention it holds a fuckton of heat to give everything a nice sear, and I can put it in the oven.
I’ve never used stone pans, though, so IDK how they compare.
Nothing is stopping you from only voting for one person with any ranked choice voting system, but the option to completely avoid the spoiler effect would be a game changer.
Step 1: Force the courts to stop delaying Trump’s criminal trials until after the election.
Step 2: STAR voting
What an apt analogy.
