Are you literally smoking crack?
Are you literally smoking crack?
Sadly you are probably correct here too
No reason we cant do all of these things. Taxing meat is a geat idea too.
Boobs should never shut anything down. Ever.
Stopping meat eating would have a bigger impact on climate change than removing cars, and that’s doable for everyone. Also EV cars do reduce the co2, and as grids get cleaner cars do too. Additionally many put solar on their houses to charge Evs.
Whist i agree car numbers should definitely be reduced, people should work from home far more for example, but meat is a greater problem that we could all address immediately without dismantling infrastructure.
Well i’m not a scientist (actually I am, but not a climate scientist), but im gunna take a wild flailing stab in the dark and suggest it’s maybe due to unfettered fossil fuel emissions.
Call me crazy but i think this might be what’s happening here.
weirdly Tesla Cruise control is a physical stick. just about everything else is touch screen, but indicators, gears, and cruise. (i think the new models it’s actully all screen though)
furiously typed into their Chinese Assembled IPhone…
i think the only thing deft is deft at is the dunning Kruger effect.
rampant misogynists would be appropriate too.
That was my initial point, however many (i’m assuming Americans) are so psychologically broken, they consider anything not a gun to be not a weapon, as the initial comment i responded to implied. the downvotes only serve to confirm this bizzare phenomenon.
oh so only guns are weapons?
are sticks and baseball bat’s not weapons? I’m confused.
yes ,becuase the house prices in Australia rise so fast it’s actully profitable to buy one outright (if you can afford it) and literally let it sit empty for 5 years ,sell it again and make hundreds of thousands and sometimes millions of dollars.
The when system (of capitalism) is ethically bankrupt and downright disgusting. Houses should be for homes, not profits.
Yeah cause capitalisms working out great hey?
What’s wrong with communism? Seems like a good idea to me.
They should be called the pretty good and mostly evil sides if we were being honest. But no one wants to openly support the mostly evil side. (strangely there are a very large group of silent right supporters too what’s that about? )
The real problem with tobacco is that the use of it harms others around the people using it.
I agree banning drugs is not the best option. Education and support is better.
Gas and diesil cars are the other things can think of that are terrible for the health those around them. And they need to be banned asap too. For multiple reasons. But health is definitely one.
The argument you’ve presented oversimplifies complex public health issues by lumping together unrelated substances and policies.
Tobacco, universally acknowledged for its lack of health benefits and high harm potential, is incomparable to substances like cannabis or alcohol, which may have varied effects and potential positive uses.
The term ‘nanny state’ is a reductive way to dismiss nuanced health policies that aim to balance regulation with individual freedom.
Regarding obesity, it’s a multifactorial issue. A simplistic approach like banning sugar or fast food ignores the broader socio-economic and lifestyle factors at play (although a sugar tax is probably not a terrible idea).
70! we would all be dead!
