lol Ayn Rand. Some ideas are so unhinged they can’t be taken seriously. In the Tristan Tate video I was talking about, he was saying something like “Well, if our home gets invaded, I’d have to protect it and might die doing so. That means my wife has to do everything I say to pay me back for this hypothetical situation where I gave my life for her”. How was I supposed to know he was serous?
Fun story: I used to be a Tristan Tate fan. Now, now, put down the pitchfork, I can explain. Back before these two blew up, I kinda knew who Andrew Tate was and the kind of content he made but had never actually watched anything he put out. One day, scrolling YouTube shorts, I was served a video of a guy saying shit so ridiculous that I couldn’t help but laugh. I then noticed his name was “Tristan Tate” and thought to myself “Oh, he must be a satire of that Andrew Tate guy I’ve heard about”. For the next several days, I watched almost every Tristan Tate short I was served — I couldn’t believe how fucking good he was at satire. Then I got served one where he talked about his brother and everything clicked in my head. I guess I’m grateful I never shared anything.

It’s probably my choice of gym but I see almost no young people in it. It’s mostly 30-somethings that figured out that eating garbage all the time and staying thin stops at 30. Yes, that includes me.
Nah, here’s the real reason. When I was the nightclubbing age, you could get a bottle of booze, 6 cans of coke and mineral water for like $50. Last time I went to a club, I paid $120 for the same thing. People in the 18-25 age range don’t have $120 to drop every Friday.
I just hope this doesn’t backfire like with the switch to paper bags to plastic bags back to paper to polyester bags that are actually worse for the environment back to plastic but now it’s Green™ plastic that doesn’t last for shit so we’re back to paper bags.

I guess it wouldn’t make sense to measure energy used by gas-powered appliances in Wh since they’re not rated in Watts. Still, measuring volume and then converting to energy seems unnecessarily complicated.
Joules (J) are the official unit of energy. 1W=1J/s. That means 1Wh=3600J or that 1J is kinda like “1 Watt second”. You’re right that Wh is easier since everything is rated in Watts and it would be insane to measure energy consumption by seconds. Imagine getting your electric bill and it says you’ve used 3,157,200,000J.
