Journey - This game brought me to a sort of Zen, it is calm and peaceful and was just a wonderful experience that didn’t out stay its welcome. By the end of it I just felt like I had had a nice uplifting experience.

Fallout games - Yeh this may not seem like an uplifting game experience for most people and I would generally agree but on a personal level I do find them uplifting by the end of them for the following reason. I have always picked up the modern fallout games when I have been quitting one substance or another in the past. There is something about the desolation of the people and the environment within those games with mirrors the desolation I felt withing myself at these times in my life. Working through the stories draws me in and helps me forget about whatever it is my body is telling me I “need” even if it is only for a few hours at a time. Multiple times though these games have helped me get through those feelings and so therefore for me they have a certain uplifting quality, like a weird unexpected safe space.

Nah I’ve never had issues with latency and don’t play anything competitive I’ve always just prefered wired to be honest. My favourite controllers were the wired 360 controllers that got rid of the massive bump at the back and were a really nice weight. I wish they did an official modern wired only version.

Yeh it was the text that was throwing me. I’ve customised my own controllers with different coloured buttons etc before so that part was easily explainable but the text is professionally added and I never knew that was a thing people did (seems like a waste of money to me)

Turns out it is a design labs custom one as per the other responses though. Learn something new every day!

Yeh this one cost me £4 and came with a recharchable battery pack. I’ve always used my controller wired (playing on PC) but now maybe I’ll try wireless!

Yeah, as I said, I use an Xbox one controller with a USB C cable. My PC has a USB C port so I just use C to C. I just wish there was a permanently wired official version of the controller that did away with the huge battery compartment on the back :)

I don’t care about colours or AA batteries, I’d rather have a cable personally, I do agree on the choice though.

Anything from the 360 onwards are my preferred controllers. A permanently wired 360 controller that does away with the massive battery compartment it my favourite but these days I use an “Xbox one” version with the USB C cable.

I haven’t played 1 or 2 personally but would echo what is being said here for the rest.

I played p4g first and fell in love with it. P3P is pretty similar really but with slightly less QoL things going on but I don’t find it too much of a downgrade to be honest.

Either way each one has its own story then with similarities like in spell names and the like, similar to how final fantasy is.

I enjoyed Metal Gear Ac!d games which were a sort of card game / turn based spin off in the metal gear world.

I’m currently playing Persona 3 Portable so if you are into those kind of games it is pretty great.

I think someone else mentioned it but Valkyria Chronicles is worth checking out, another turn based delight.

There are literally 10’s of us that still desire a physical keyboard on a phone.

The blackberry keytwo was the best phone I have ever owned but it is too outdated now to carry on using :(

I am also an avid band camp user and will buy as much as I can afford times being what they are though that is less and less so I have to prioritise what I want to pay for.

The music I am into also releases a lot of things as vinyl only which is utter bullshit IMO so I will pirate the shit out of any of that I can get my hands on as I won’t pay for a giant piece of obsolete media that I then have no way to actually use xD

I pay for premium for my sister and niece on a family plan thing anyway so it isn’t like I would save any money by not using it as it is there and paid for regardless. I’m literally ripping the music from Spotify using soggfy.

I use soulseek as well which is fine but a lot of idiots on there lock their files away which goes against the very nature of piracy imo, using this Spotify method is often easier to get some of the things I want and then I can tag them using my desired naming convention too rather than having to clean up other peoples messy as fuck tags.

Paying for it helps me pirate even more efficiently. I often leave 20+ hour playlists on ripping the music I want whilst off doing other things.

I have compared the 320 mp3s I get from it with 320’s that I have bought using spek and they were literally identical and whilst having a flac is nice having money to pay my bills is nicer and the difference in sound quality really isn’t that noticeable without a proper system to play them through.
