I would like to avoid uploading fingerprints for an EFT file if possible. Has anyone submitted one set of (2) FD-258 cards for a batch of Form 1s? If I need two cards for every Form 1 cover letter I will probably get over my aversion to uploading the cards to generate an EFT.

set up the docker container for openEFT. do your own .eft file at home. more privacy, free, only takes like 5-10 minutes to set up.
openEFT does not work currently per the dev. they’re working on a fix but end of Q1 is the eta
The one you linked to is the original. There was an updated version after that, and now there’s EFTSuite. Updated OpenEFT and EFTSuite are same author.

and this one would be compliant? do i need the rolled ones or just the slap ones?
Mine was accepted just fine the other day using EFTSuite. Just slaps and thumbs for the new requirements.
nice, i ended up filing a few earlier with only slaps and thumbs, scanned in at 600 dpi, and ran through EFTSuite, so hopefully we’re all good with that configuration.
well fuck, wish i would have known that before submitting my form 1s… well… time to find another way to get my fingerprints digitized…
Alex, check out OpenPew’s EFT generator here: [https://www.openpewproject.org/form-1]. Works perfectly and is cheap and fast.
to me, it sounds like this is using the old system as well. only the slap prints, no rolled prints which would result in a denial.
This is the same one I used and all of mine got approved yesterday.
Edit… I actually used the entirety of the card and filled all the boxes with the correct fingerprint. So if you’re referring to only using the bottom section then I can not confirm that part. Sorry I responded before realizing it was referring to the bottom boxes.
I did PrintScan at my local UPS Store. It’s not cheap, but if you think about amortizing the cost over more than a few eForms, it doesn’t seem so bad.
my nearest printscan location is like 2 hours away unfortunately…
