That’s fair, I was so struck by the absurdity of the amount 😅.

I would just ignore this as well. If some foreign government that I have zero ties or interests with sent me fines, they’d go in the trash/spam filter. They have zero ability to enforce them. Wasn’t it Russia and Google where Russia claimed Google had to pay some absurd multi-trillion dollar fine that exceeds all of the world currency? Kick rocks.
It costs $100k, operating the vehicle as intended causes parts to fall off, rain will disable it, and it’s incapable of leaving the pavement. Every one they managed to sell has been recalled. There’s no way it dethrones the hilux, which is dependable, cheap, readily available, and well proven offroad, in combat. I know musk isn’t too bright, particularly when his pride is involved, but he’d be a bigger fool than I believed him to be if he restarts production on the cybertruck. Frankly this reads like some backroom “advertising” deal with the Trump administration to con people into changing their minds about or, more likely, to drum up interest among nonstate actors so Tesla can make bulk sales to offload the current stock. “Ooh, the largest airforce in the world is concerned about this commercially available vehicle made out of glue and sheet aluminum with a built in explosive pack just waiting for a detonator!” Product costs money to hold and they’re in the hole bad.
I prefer regular, but my health prefers low sodium.
I’m one of those weirdos who likes V8, not those sugar water concoctions, the original.
That ad campaign was not about Gaza, it didn’t even resemble anything close to bodybags. It looked like messy artists in a studio. That whole bit was much ado about nothing.
Was it promptly followed by an Israeli bombing?
That bit about vegans raises some interesting thoughts regarding veganism and pet keeping. As with most things, I’m sure it depends on the individual.
This isn’t discussed enough, likely because it doesn’t have the shock and awe that war does, similar to how the relatively small amount of violent crime hits the news while all the vehicular deaths are mostly glossed over. They rarely actually have any effect on the rulers, yet they devastate the populace. Proponents say dumb shit like, “It will cause the people to rebel!” No, it won’t. When you and your children are sick and literally starving, it is difficult to organize resistance, not only physically but also mentally as your cognitive functions suffer as well. That’s also assuming that there is actually a fundamental issue with the government. Many times, sanctions are a cudgel used by western bullies against countries that won’t play ball with extractive economics or other harmful policies. Sometimes, the pain caused to the population is the point because they had the gall to elect leaders the bullies don’t like.
That’s wild and seems like a lot of wasted time, effort, and money. If it is really that serious put the onus on the ISPs in their jurisdiction to block it.
