So I went ahead and tested the Glock slide on a PSA dagger, and it works perfectly with much smoother movement, so fortunately the slide isn’t the issue. I also tried putting a dagger slide on the aves rails and it also had a lot of resistance. Seems like Aves isn’t very high quality, or maybe I just got a bad batch.

I measured the width of the rail, and it’s 23.01mm or 23.00mm. Not sure if “tabs” refers to the width of the outwards slabs, but I measured those at 1.36mm and 1.29mm. The OEM slide I purchased was pretty clean, but I just cleaned it thoroughly now. Would it be acceptable to try and throw the OEM slide on a PSA dagger lower to see if it fits on there to establish the problem being the slide or the rails?

I went ahead and disassembled the frame and ran the front rail through the slide (not attached to the frame) and it goes through relatively smooth up until it reaches slightly in front of the extractor, then it just stops and a lot of resistance is present.
