Are they wrong the complain though? Gordillo seems to have some criticisms for them not endorsing Mamdani
Saying that you’re not worth the time for personal interactions but here’s a reason that’s okay is a platitude.
Additionally, AI will only be getting better,
It might get cheaper, but that doesn’t mean it’s doing a better job.
if the alternative is telling people that are struggling and have no other options that they have to tough it out
That’s just it, if you’re talking to someone who’s is struggling with this there is already a better option: showing empathy. I suspect our perceived lack of empathy is a reflection of how society treats people in general, we are just more honest about it and recognize it’s mostly platitudes.
I’ll be honest, I find the framing of the study offensive and I’m not sure if I have the words but I’ll try.
It’s less about this study comparing itself to no intervention instead, but the social & political context of AI being pushed as a way to make care giving more efficient while sacrificing quality.
half were assigned to use Noora for four weeks and half received no intervention.
If only they gave a control group an off-the-shelf social game like LA Noire or a D&D play group
Ahh yes, imprisoning her for the crime of showing empathy. What a bunch ghouls.
Depends on where the plane crashes, but definitely won’t be conscious.
They’re asking for access to the voting machines. I’m sure there is nothing to worry about here. /s
Let’s be real, if the dress said “suck off the rich” instead of “tax the rich” they wouldn’t have fined her.
It’s not an either or situation, there is plenty of blame to go around. But I believe that the people with the most power are the most responsible. I know that runs counter to American corporate culture and can be a cultural shock to hear.
Most of the additional ridership [that] was identified cannibalized other lines. You’re taking people who are paying on other lines, and they were just getting a free ride.
What a bizarre way to measure the success or failure of a program.
The new talking point is that man made climate change is real but burning oil isn’t causing the world to warm. But that does mean we can geoengineer our climate to be cooler. 🙃
Live by the sword, die by the sword. We let Gazan children die because of who their parents voted for. I’m not saying two wrong make a right but that doing what is right starts with us.

In May 2020, Lai told CNN news that US president Donald Trump was “the only one who can save us” from China, with Apple Daily publishing a similar plea addressed to Trump the same month.
There’s something ironic about this…
Regardless of the team size, I say simplify as much as you can so you can dedicate your resources customizing what makes their business special. You mentioned a PBX system and no infrastructure, this makes me think you talking about Customer Management. It sounds like you’re documenting as you go, fantastic. Maybe loop in a noob time to time to review the documentation or have a Q&A that reifies the docs. Best of luck!
I think a concern for the business is whether other people can help maintain the system. As such don’t go too custom and roll your own. Take things like nextcloud and see if you can fit the requirements by bolting on a few docker services. Keep it simple by using “appliances” where it makes sense (dedicated NAS?).
Can our AI fall in love with a human? Scientists laughed at me when I asked them but I found this weird billionaire to pay me to have sex with his robot.
They can do what Ukraine did, buy drone parts from China to make the most of their defense budget.
This Marine Park fellow sounds like one bad hombre.
