I’m very happy with this trip bar geometry, most consistent results yet with repeatable release timing. It’s probably a little late but working and I’d rather err on the safe side.

Need to finish the CAD for the metal trip bar now that I know the starting length and get that coming. Surprisingly the plastic held up, much better than expected.

Also need to start over with a fresh hammer and try and get a profile that works without welding. I had the hammer good with a big ass shark fin welded on but I found the limit trying to trim it down.

Can’t wait for this to drop. I just bought another cetme kit and couple of weeks ago when they were on sale with the barrel. I’m going to use it to build the 2077 from awcy. I really want a frt to install. You would be a god, in my eyes for creating this. If you need any help with testing, please let me know.

I haven’t done a 2077 so I can’t say for sure how this will fit in there. It’s located by the shelf and secured with the end cap. I should probably look at the 2077 to get a better idea of compatibility.

I have metal trip bars on order. As is they wouldn’t bend them as there is a slot too close to the bend area. I’m going to bend them myself first to verify function, then possibly make the changes if there are issues bending in the vice.

It is a good bit of work to get the trip bar set as they have to be hand fit to get correct timing. It’s not tricky, just takes time. You’ll also need a FA carrier and need to square off the notch with a Dremel.

I’ll be posting open beta here in the beta room, and on WG after I know the metal trip works. I’m working on some documentation now. I’m also trying to work out a hammer profile that doesn’t require welding.

On hold. Printed trip bar version works but I had issues with the first metal bars, so that needs to be revisited. The metal is thinner than the plastic which affected release a bit.

It’s a fairly involved project and testing/development is slow going on my own, plus mag dump testing 308 gets expensive fast.

totaly get that. when you get to the point of needing/wanting someone else to help with testing, id be happy to burn through some 308, in the name of progress.
