Im trying to add heat inserts to my 10/22 chasis grip. However, Ive tried everything and I cant seem to get the heat insert to stay inserted. Any hints ? Or maybe theres a 10/22 chasis that usese a m4 nut instead… like how you install a grip for the receission ruger. ??

yeah… ive done that… but the heat insert doesnt stay in… maybe i need to push the insert harder into the model.

You can go farther in or just use something else to keep it down as it cools. Screwdriver works. Make sure to keep it straight. Then cut off the excess that pushed out around it.

thanks… reprinting my chasis now… looks like i may have created a larger grip bolt hole …

end of day i may scratch this approach and just go with the galileo… which uses a bolt/nut combination to attach the grip. i like this approach better than using heat inserts. same bolt/nut approach used by the recession ruger frames…

should you ever design a chasis, please use a bolt/nut for grip attachment… :-)

          thanks!
