General Discussion@forum.guncadindex.com•Sporter 1 receiver pin question - difference between front and rearEnglish
1·21 days agoso i took my two sporters out to the range… these are my observations.
the sporter-1 seems to be slightly out of spec. causing malfunctions, etc. which somewhat tracks since i had to use different sized receiver pins… which was probably enough to through things out of spec.
sporter-2-xl seems to have corrected and tightened things up, so this build ran without issue starting with round 1.

1·23 days agoso i just cut the head off a m5-30 bolt. that ‘fixes’ this issue.
some other fitment issues with this sporter1 model. which is probably why the sporter2 has some fixes to the receiver… just wish the sporter 2 supported a handguard for 10inch barrels.
guess another reason for me to learn cad.

3·24 days agojust send a message to the mods. if there are not multiple infractions, this is your only one, then youll be reinstated. in theory that is… but more than likely youll be unbanned.
just make note not reference sites, etc
like others have stated, its walking on egg shells. but its the price you have to pay if wanting to engage in the r/ communities.

until all this is worked out community wide, for these style of ‘hammer’ builds iil just stick to the 3011 and recession ruger families.

1·1 month agoa press is relatively inexpensive so using one should be the ideal route for DIY purposes.

yes… this is very good advice…
ive been working on 10/22 receivers of late …
instead of stl begging, ive been more proactive in trying how to ‘remix’ and modify existing models.
