Wondering that the best brand of PA6-CF is? Or if there are like a top three to use and a top three to avoid? Thinking I want to go with polymaker or Bambu but I’m open to being convinced there are better options.
Polymaker PA6-CF is definitely the gold standard. Highly recommended by everyone.
Not only are they a great filament, but they also support 2a stuff. Give them your money!
Since performance varies with annealing and moisture conditioning, it’s hard to find good objective comparisons. Even test results for a single brand can vary widely if those variables aren’t controlled. Subjectively, people have had lots of success with both Polymaker and Bambu so you really can’t go wrong with either of those.
Be wary of the lower-cost options. I’ve tested Sunlu and qualitatively it doesn’t print as well as Polymaker and it ships on a spool that isn’t rated for 100°C drying temperatures. I’ve seen reports from others that, unlike Polymaker and Bambu, unannealed Sunlu PA6-CF is prone to creep. That’s an indication that it doesn’t have effective crystallization rate inhibitors, so annealing becomes more important than it is with the higher-tier brands.
