Anyone know why this project was “crucibled”? I see it says it failed at 985. But the design is legit. The only thing I can imagine is just the sheer amount of Mac based projects that are highly similar.
Is that an integral suppressor? I ft that’s the key feature of the design that could have had something to do with it. Hard to find testers when you had to pay the gov $200 and wait months for permission just to try it.
Yes, and I didn’t think about that but i bet that’s the issue. They could’ve easily made a non integral unit as well
And then do it again for every new iteration… Although now I bet we will see a lot more betas for integrally suppressed designs pop up
awcy has strict testing standards and it has to survive 1000rds in one range trip without having a failure. so at 985, this one almost made it. i would say it’s safe to go. especially after looking at it and seeing how much plastic is in it.
I concure lmao!!!
I realise their requirements, I’m more curious as to way they didn’t press forward on corrections and finish the BETA
probably because theres no metal reinforcements for the side of the upper in it. theres only so much you can do with pure plastic. people lose interest in this hobby and get busy with life as well. i’m sure you could message durban and ask why
Where is this from?
I found it just exploring the index
Index? I must be really missing something with this community or server. I’m a 2A enthusiast but I kind of accidentally blundered in here a few weeks back and I have no idea what’s going on.
Go to the name of the forum without the forum part :P
I never realized what a pain in the ballsack it is to join multiple comms on an instance. Maybe I’m doing it wrong but I had to put the instance name into Lemmy Explorer and manually copy / paste the comm names into my account and subscribe. Yeesh.
