  • Interstate and international law are irrelevant. The reality is that it’s a way for legislators to do an end-run past the democratic process by leveraging the realities of doing business. They can pass it, and suddenly it makes sense to put those restrictions on all the printers going to the US, because setting up a WA only export division with a separate production process costs money.

    This is how California has effectively created national emissions standards in new cars for the last 30 years. It’s why you sometimes see Europeans on the internet asking “what the fuck is this prop 65 warning telling me that everything I own is poisonous?”



  • OK, so I’m thinking the move for the 3D2A world in general might be to incorporate/host/whatever in Wyoming.

    Since it’s the one state that has a law on the books tasking its attorney general to play defense attorney on behalf of its citizens if they’re prosecuted for possession of a “naughty” gun thing of whatever description. It’s not entirely clear to me that lawsuits are included as a mandatory defense, but it seems like the best place to be based for that reason, as well as for circuit court reasons.
