Only things you will need to change is your line width. I have finally tried a .6 nozzle for those of you asking if my settings will work for it. I set all of my line widths to .5 and I run the layer height at .12 or .15 depending on how detailed you want to get. That’s the only things you will need to change in my settings in order to get a great print with a .6 nozzle.
This print was with cheap Sunlu PA6-CF and it still turned out great with my settings and a .6 nozzle.
Sweet! I’ve switched to a .6 a while back and need to just adjust my width now. Everything else was using your settings. I was using .62 width.
Yeah change your line widths to .5 for all of them and you can go as low as .12 on your layer height. Happy printing!!!
And .5 works well for you?
I’m used to line width being minimum 100% of nozzle width (so.6 here)
Yes, even .45 works well! Line widths need to be 80% to 110% the nozzle size.
Will change up my settings and give it a go!
Rad, I just switched back to a .4 and forgot how spoiled I was in terms of print times at 0.18 with the .6 nozzle
What was the difference in print time between 0.4 and 0.6?
So I swapped to a 0.6 nozzle. If I change the setting in Orca to 0.6 from 0.4. It wont let me use your 3mf profile. So not sure if im understanding your post. Youre saying all the has to change is the line width? Nothing else? Or should I rebuild your profile in the 0.6 and then make sure all line widths are 0.5 like you say.
I didn’t think about it messing with the 3mf file and not allowing you to just change the nozzle and line width size. I will make a new 3mf with the .6 nozzle and upload. It’s all the same setting and the only thing different is line width and size of nozzle.
I appreciate it man. I went ahead and rebuilt the profile in the 0.6 nozzle version and after recalibrating everything, it seems to be working well.
what perfect timing and using the yippe as the reference, i think this is my sign to use the .6 on my kai-yay as well
I know you get asked a ton, but I couldn’t find it. What are your settings?
Wait, didn’t your settings always have line widths at .5? Or am I going crazy?
On the .4 nozzle they are all .5 except the top and outside. This is for .6 nozzle
