Not a single country on Earth that likes the US. Only the US claims to like the US, and even then it’s more propaganda fuel than anything.

Was this still a question? I thought that ship sailed long ago, with everyone but Israel.

Ah, who am I kidding, Israel hates us, too.

By “no confidence” we mean no trust. When our closest ally declares economic warfare through tariffs, threatens annexation, and blackmails the opening an international bridge, there is no trust left. Canadians are smart enough to know this won’t end after Trump is gone. It will take decades to reverse. We will develop stronger relationships with other countries, something that we should have done earlier anyway. The U.S.A. can burn their own house down - we don’t care. Just don’t try to burn ours with it.

    As a Canadian, it’s Trump

    …AND his supporters

…AND you can throw in Christofascists

    …AND Christian fundamentalists.

So since Westboro for me, personally.

It’s not just Trump. It’s the Tea Party and Bush, too. We’ve spent the last quarter century looking over our shoulder waiting for the next catastrophe that Americans will cause and we’re sick of it.

I’m sure that there is plenty of arrogance from Idaho to Georgia… the electoral college has given way too much of a voice for the flyover states even though they are the minority. I can guarantee you that the coastal communities in the States hate what our country has become as much as you Canucks do. Western Washington/Oregon/California have hated the maga movement from the beginning, unfortunately billionaires use it to pocket tax dollars left and right, and the simps in purple states are down for the billionaire cause despite the fact that they will spend hundreds of millions of dollars to elect officials who are against a universal healthcare bill.

Over 70% of the country wants him gone, but from an outsider’s perspective, all they see is the fact that we voted him in.

It’s going to take a very long time to undo the damage caused by Trump. Nobody is ever going to trust the United States again, unless we put safeguards in place to ensure that someone like him can never gain this level of unchecked power ever again. And I just don’t see that happening in any of our lifetimes.

You’ll never undo it. America’s pre-Trump position in the world was due to the fact that it was the only major power left standing after World War II. After the rest of the world rebuilt itself America was entrenched enough to maintain its position through inertia. When that inertia’s gone, it won’t come back.

Could say sorry, but that won’t cut it. I just hope you see there are people here in the us that want all of maga leadership and billionaires to be dead and reject them. We just can’t convince others. It has to be in thier face because a huge chunk are in auto pilot. I will keep fighting, however I can.

Obama had the power to nationalize the banks and arrest the people who engineered the crisis. But instead let them go.

Well two be fair, Obama only had control of both the senate and the house for his first 72 days. Enough time to get some things done, but not a lot.

But I agree that he could have done more with the power he did hold throughout his presidency, as Trump has shown. Obama could have went buckwild with the executive orders. But alas, hindsight is 20:20.

That is really hard to do. Canadians are super friendly so if you’ve pissed them off you must really be a dickhead.
