1·3 days agoNot sure if it counts because technically it’s a p80 rip off that uses a g19 slide/ gen 3 internals but I really like the look/feel of the Strike v2.
Chairmanwon space mini.
Unseen killers schnitzel remix is sexyyyyy, sadly It prints with holes in the magwell for me. The OG schnitzel perty too.
Loved the jsd invitational fmda dd19.2 but have come to dislike how blocky it is.

1·4 days agoYea I pretty much only use polymaker since they support the community and the community vouches for them. Sirayatech on occasion for pet cf/gf.
Yea I like pa612. Currently switching between that and pa6. Would you stick to pa6 for mags/ Hand guards and pa612 for frames/uppers etc?

1·4 days agoHonestly when I first started going down the printed route I had no idea the proto was a thing. Saw the jar fish one on printa22 and gave it a go. Just recently found out about the proto, it seems intimidating though. This is my first mostly printed build. Still don’t fully understand how long the hand guard needs to be compared to the barrel etc. So I decided to get a metal one instead. Rtb out of the 4.5 one. Stupidly decided to gamble on dav defense. ( 9 days today and it still hasn’t shipped. They say up to 2 full business weeks so they’re getting an email soon. Just waiting on that and the catch 22 v1, just messing with the jar fish one for experience/ impatience. I’ve checked out the proto. It’s just uses Amazon cf tubes. Maybe epoxy /bolts etc?

1·7 days agoOil slide and come back. Could be the rails weren’t cut right. When swim first used their rails they didn’t seem like they fit. The rails were just a tiny bit out of spec. Swin forced slide on and a tiny sliver of aluminum came off and then it worked perfectly. Make sure it’s oiled though. Reread the read me. You got this.

1·8 days agoOkay thank you. I won’t even try to coat it then. Where I’m located it can be pretty humid. In the summer months the average is 75%~90%. In the winter months the average 70%~75%. What would you pick? Pa6cf20? Pa612cf15? Or PA6cf10?

1·10 days agoExcuse my ignorance but channels? Like grooves in the liner itself or in the shroud? If in the shroud I guess k could just warp it ever so slightly by using the select feature in autodesk mesh mixer? If I’m unable to do that… how much space would you say is needed for the epoxy? Should the liner still fit pretty snug?

1·11 days agoThat’s pretty much what I did haha I finally got the perfect fit this morning. Didn’t think about the epoxy though. How much space should I leave for epoxy you think? It’s an unthreaded 5 1/2” chazsel liner.

1·14 days agoI wanna do it correctly so I’m okay with waiting. Actually just dyed my first nylon gf print. Going forward-I wait for it to air dry? Then anneal. Then wet sponge bag it? If I wanted to seal it with some type of epoxy would I do that before moisture conditioning? Or do I want that moisture in there?

General Discussion@forum.guncadindex.com•Drilling holes before or after annealing nylon cf?English
1·14 days agoOhh okay. I kinda misunderstood what you were saying. Are you saying use the calipers to make sure it’s perfectly aligned before drilling?
The main problem is the fcg pin holes. They’d come out slightly oval shaped. After the holes were drilled, there’d always be a bit of wiggle room which would cause them to walk. So I figured shrink the hole, then drill it carefully. So far the pins are much more secure. Contemplating anti walk pins as well.

Thank you.
