this is in the Qidi slicer so just find these same 2 settings in yours and give it a shot, my supports work very well but also pull off with zero left behind and little effort… this isnt a cure all for everyone obv but its a starting point and should solve quite a few ppls issue
Hey y are using qidi slicer instead of Bambu/orca/prusa, I’m just wondering if there’s a benefit or use case for it, or is it the same as the others
i have a qidi printer so it just makes sense for me and i am able to connect directly to mine by feeding mine into my offline house network that connects all my devices so im still able to control it from my pc but not connected to the internet, which was a huge deal for me. the less things connected to the net the better imo
I’m using the Qidi software because there wasn’t an orca update for it yet. The Qidi is orca based, seems to be 99% the same
There isn’t an update for the q2? I’ve been using orca since I purchased the printer
How many interface layers are you using? I’ve been using 3 layers and Rectilinear Interlaced and I’ve been super happy with how easily my supports come off.
i just use my printer defaults for that, these are the only settings ive changed and its made it so just a little pressure removes the supports so i didnt mess with anything else. i try to do the minimum i can where things work to my satisfaction because im no coder or anything like that so i just stick to the smallest fine tuning i can
So wait, you’re suggesting changing the interface pattern?
that and my default object xy distance was .35
Ah cool. I’ll check my setting in prusaslicer. Thanks for the tip
no prob! this is by no means a solution for everyone but more of a starting point for lots as im sure this wont work for alot of people but will for some but i try to change as little as i can until i get good results and this is about the smallest amount of changes i could make with getting great results
